The Graduate Student Advisory Council (GSAC) serves as an advisory body to the department Chair, Professor Jerome Lynch, and Graduate Chair, Associate Professor Adda Athanasopoulos-Zekkos, in matters of student climate and serves as an information resource to current students. Malcolm is a PhD student in the Civil Engineering program working with Professor Jason McCormick. He is studying Structural Engineering.
Avery is an MSE student studying Environmental Engineering. He is advised by Professors Glen Daigger and Nancy Love.
Gabriel is an MSE student studying Civil Engineering. He is advised by Professors Jerry Lynch and Dimitrios Zekkos and is interested in the Intelligent Systems research area.
Katherine is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Laboratory of Intelligent Systems Technologies, advised by Professor Jerry Lynch. In her spare time, Katherine enjoys backpacking and exploring the outdoors, playing the double bass and piano, playing tennis, improving her skills as a cartographer, and laughing at Northwood’s adorable woodland creatures.
Goldie is an MSE student studying Civil Engineering. She is advised by Professor Adda Athanasopoulos-Zekkos and is interested in the Geotechnical Engineering research area. Goldie is a foodie and is currently hunting for the best breakfast sandwich in the Ann Arbor area.
Houtan is a PhD student in the Civil Engineering program working under the supervision of Professor SangHyun Lee. In his free time, Houtan enjoys keeping up with his fitness regime, kayaking, and playing team sports.
Sara is a PhD student in the Environmental Engineering program working with Professors Branko Kerkez and Nancy Love. She is interested in data-driven modeling of sewer systems. Sara enjoys crafting, taking care of her plants, and exploring wherever conferences take her.
Daniel is a 1st year PhD student who loves many things, from reading to ice skating, passing through cooking and playing basketball, soccer or football. But he still has room to love some more fun, so bring in ideas! He is advised by Professor Yafeng Yin.
Stacey has worked at UM for 6 years previously working at Ross in Graduate Admissions. She strives to provide the best customer service possible for students, faculty and staff. She enjoys the outdoors with family and friends–biking, golfing, spending time at her family cottage at Houghton Lake, and loves anything chocolate!
