Congratulations to Nancy Love for receiving funding through the Elizabeth Caroline Crosby Grant. Nancy will use the grant to study “Restorative Justice in the Water Industry Through a More Diverse Workforce.” By examining ways to make the water industry workforce more representative of communities, the research goal is to find a way to create and sustain improved and more equitable water systems throughout the United States. The Elizabeth Caroline Crosby Grant, which is part of the U-M ADVANCE Program, is named for the world-renowned neuroanatomist who was the first woman full professor of the medical school. The grant is awarded to help meet career-relevant needs of individual instructional, research and clinical track faculty in science and engineering with the goal of increasing retention or promotion of a diverse faculty in science and engineering
