Professor Spence Receives John F. Ullrich Education Excellence Award
Professor Seymour M. J. Spence has been honored with the 2017-2018 John F. Ullrich Education Excellence Award.
CEE Professor Seymour Spence was named the recipient of the 2017-2018 John F. Ullrich Education Excellence Award which recognizes sustained excellence in curricular development, instruction and guidance at all levels impacting the experience of undergraduate and graduate students.
Professor Spence was specifically recognized for his pioneering contributions to the structural engineering curriculum including re-introduction of CEE 517: Reliability of Structures and the revamping CEE 611: Performance-Based Earthquake Engineering.
