We Need Your Input! Participate in Our Upcoming Alumni Engagement Survey
The Civil & Environmental Engineering Friends and Alumni (CEEFA) board meets formally twice a year (in spring and fall) and engages with CEE Department leadership to review department successes and challenges, including student enrollment, graduations, accreditation, and new research topics. The Board regularly provides input and feedback to the CEE Department and serves as a direct industry connection.
The CEEFA Board recognizes that many alumni seek more information about the CEE department and CEEFA activities and wish to be more involved. To that end, we are refining how we communicate information and exploring new ways for alumni to connect and support CEE students and the CEE department. We are excited to introduce two new subcommittees: Alumni Connections and Education Mission. These groups will focus on enhancing alumni engagement and educational initiatives. Current ways in which alumni engage include hosting or participating in regional student visits, partnering with students through coaching or mentoring, presenting to CEE students, and attending events like our fall CEEFA tailgate.
One of the things we’d like to improve is communication. The Board intends to provide regular updates via the CEE quarterly newsletter. To gauge alumni interest in various participation avenues, we will send out a survey that will touch on different ways to participate. We invite all alumni to participate in our upcoming survey and stay connected through our quarterly newsletter and annual letter. Your involvement is crucial to our success!
U-M CEE is thriving, continually developing and supporting future leaders in the field. Similarly, your CEEFA Board is engaged and working to represent industry’s best interests and support our CEE department.
