2025 Undergraduate Rankings Highlight U-M CEE’s Strong Performance
Undergraduate Civil is #6; Undergraduate Environmental is #4
On September 24, US News & World Report released its annual rankings for undergraduate programs, highlighting Michigan CEE’s continued success in 2025. Michigan’s Environmental Engineering program held steady in fourth place nationally, mirroring its 2024 ranking. Meanwhile, Civil Engineering experienced a notable rise, climbing to sixth place from the tenth position it held in 2024.
Overall, Michigan Engineering secured the fifth spot among all undergraduate engineering programs in the U.S., while the University of Michigan achieved the #21 rank nationwide across all schools. Additionally, U-M distinguished itself as the #3 public university in the United States.
