CEE Launches Second Year of ECRSS Seminars

We seek individuals who not only advance their disciplinary knowledge but also actively champion diversity, equity, and inclusion within their fields.

The U-M CEE proudly announces the return of the Early Career Researcher Seminar Series (ECRSS). As we enter our second year, we anticipate a fresh wave of groundbreaking ideas from the brightest minds in civil and environmental engineering.

Senior graduate students, postdocs, and assistant professors dedicated to enriching the field with diverse perspectives are invited to showcase their work, which ideally aligns with CEE’s strategic directions. This series serves as both a stage for emerging scholars to present their research and a fertile ground for expanding professional networks.

Speakers, who will be honored with a $500 award, will find themselves engaging with University of Michigan’s top-tier faculty, students, and postdocs. These interactions are designed to foster potential collaborations that transcend the seminar’s one-hour presentation format.

Key dates to keep in mind are the application period, from April 20th to May 20th, 2024, followed by the selection of speakers in June. The seminars themselves will run through the Fall 2024 and Winter 2025 semesters.

We seek individuals who not only advance their disciplinary knowledge but also actively champion diversity, equity, and inclusion within their fields. Those fitting this description are highly encouraged to apply and potentially join us as celebrated contributors to the seminar series.
