Congratulations to Sherif El-Tawil
El-Tawil to receive ASCE’s 2022 Shortridge Hardesty Award
CEE’s Sherif El-Tawil, the Antoine E. Naaman Collegiate Professor, has been selected by ASCE’s Structural Engineering Institute to receive the 2022 Shortridge Hardesty Award. This honor is given for “cumulative efforts and outstanding achievements in the areas of computational modeling of steel structures, seismic design of hybrid steel-concrete coupled wall systems, progressive collapse of buildings, and structural behavior under extreme loading conditions.” The award will be presented during the Society’s 2023 Structures Congress in New Orleans, May 3-6, 2023.
