Prof. Radoslaw L. Michalowski has been elected to the Academy of Engineering in Poland. The nomination was approved by the Academy’s General Assembly earlier in 2022. The formal induction into the Academy took place in Cracow, Poland, on April 26, 2022, during the ceremonial session of the Academy, and the first in-person meeting since the beginning of COVID-19 pandemic. While in Poland, Radoslaw had a chance to see the impact of the Russian-Ukrainian war on the country; Cracow is located 150 miles from the border with Ukraine.
