CEE faculty are working hard to prepare their courses for the upcoming academic year and are planning for a variety of scenarios to enable flexibility. To help faculty get ready for teaching, CEE has a few openings for program assistants for the following courses.
Cognizant Faculty: Carol C. Menassa
Term Course Offered: Winter 2021
Job Description: Prof. Menassa is looking to hire a program assistant to help in preparing CEE331 – Construction Management for a potential of full online offering.
The class format consists of lectures, assigned readings, a term project divided into five distinct parts and two exams (a midterm and a final).
The laboratory component of the course consists of a series of activities intended to supplement the course and provide students with opportunities to practice what they learned in class. The students also learn several software to help them complete the term project assignments.
The program assistant will be responsible for recording the laboratory material, both as screencast and PowerPoint slides. The assistant will also be helping Prof. Menassa curate and ensure that all course material adheres to accessibility and copyright requirements for online class offering. Anyone (graduate or undergraduate level) who successfully completed CEE331 (or equivalent) would be eligible for the program assistant position.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are a requirement for the program assistant position.
Payrate: $20/hour

Term Course Offered: Fall 2020
Job Description: Prof. Kamat is looking to hire a program assistant to help in preparing CEE435 – Building Information Modeling for a potential of full online offering.
The class format in CEE 435 consists of lectures, a significant number of computer labs, a large 4-part term project, and take-home exams.
The laboratory component of the course consists of a series of activities intended to supplement the course and provide students with opportunities to practice what they learned in class using BIM software Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360.
The program assistant will be responsible to record BIM software use laboratory sessions, both as screencast and PowerPoint slides. The assistant will also be helping Prof. Kamat curate and ensure that all course material adheres to accessibility and copyright requirements for online class offering. Anyone (graduate or undergraduate level) who has ideally successfully completed CEE435 (or equivalent) would be eligible for the program assistant position. If an applicant has not taken CEE435 before but is otherwise familiar with BIM software and has a strong willingness to quickly learn, they are eligible to apply as well.

Payrate: $20/hour
