Ann Jeffers receives NSF Career Award

Ann Jeffers was selected for a National Science Foundation (NSF) Career Award. Her Career award, entitled "Traveling Fires-Do they Really Matter," will commence in September 2013 and continue through August 2018. The goal of her work is to characterize the influence of traveling fires on the fire resistance of structural systems. To do this Professor Jeffers will couple a high resolution fire model to a three dimensional structural model that will enable a rigorous study of the various parameters affecting fire and structural response.
