Leaders and Honors Student Awards 2014

Congratulations to this year’s Leaders and Honors Awardees:

Undergraduate Student Richard Polan earned the Distinguished Achievement Undergraduate Award, which is presented to an outstanding undergraduate in each degree program. This award recognizes academic achievement, exemplary character, leadership in class and activities and potential for success in future endeavors.

Doctoral Student Sara Rimer earned the Marian Sarah Parker Prize, which is presented by the College to two outstanding women (one senior and one graduate student) who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership qualities and outstanding contributions to the University and/or community. Professor Nikolaos Katopodes is Rimer’s advisor.

Doctoral Student Lingli He was selected for the Richard and Eleanor Towner Distinguished Academic Achievement Prize, which highlights the innovation and creativity demonstrated by the College’s students and rewards outstanding research achievements. Her advisor is Professor Valeriy Ivanov.

The College of Engineering is proud to celebrate the accomplishments of students who have demonstrated excellence in their academic work, leadership experiences and in service to others.
